Real life situations Percentege

First event:
Last week we had 20 guests at home. Plus the family we were 24 persons. In order to buy the beverage we had to calculate the percentages of people drinking alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks. At the end 75% of people drink alcohol and 25% not. Based on that we bought lot's of wine and some coke?

Anwser for event one:Math problems:

20 gusts + family 4=24 people
75% drank alcohol
25% non-alcohol.
How many people drank alcohol? <3

75% : 100 X :24
75 X 24=100
75 X 24= 1800
1800=100 x
X = 1800/100

Tag off 0
X=18 fraction 1 = 18
24-18=6

18 people drank alcohol and 6 did not drink non alcoholic beverages.

20 gust + 4 pepole = 24 pepol in total

75% alchohole
25%non alchahole
 we bought more alchole that non alchahole

3 fourth of are bevrge were alchholic and 1 fourth was not.

operation: 50+
                25=75

0.25 = too  25 over 100 we reduce it = one forth non alchhole.

Event two:Usually our dogs eat special pet food we buy at the shop. However we had quite some food leftover from party and we decided to give it to the dogs. But we had to do in equal proportions and not exceeding the portion intake. Each dog is eating 400g of food. This is 1200g for three dogs. We had 480g of food leftover, this meant each dog would get 40% leftover and 60% pet food?
